The Capital Preclinical Research Center (CPRC) is funded and operated by the Tarcine BioMed Inc. and the Capital Medical University in Beijing, China. CPRC is National Laboratory Animal Committee accredited, has an Animal Welfare Assurance issued by PHS (Public Health Services, USA, #A5415-01) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH, USA), and has an IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee) responsible for CPRC’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations concerning the humane care and use of laboratory animals. The CPRC follows the rules and regulations of “The Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (NRC1996)”, which is published by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC). In addition, the Beijing Laboratory Animal Management Committee and the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) regularly inspect the CPRC as well.
Provide “GLP” type study
CPRC is the premier provider of non-human primate research and pre-clinical studies for pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies, medical device industries, and biomedical research institutes. The contract study will be conducted in compliance with the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations for Non-Clinical Laboratory Studies (FDA 21 CFR Part 58, USA) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) of CPRC.
The CPRC has 2 service cores: Animal Breeding Colony and Experimental Center which includes 4 service platforms: Surgery, Biochemistry, Histopathology and Bioanalysis units. There are 72 scientists, veterinarians, animal care technicians, specialists in pathology and animal husbandry, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) personnel. Members of the scientific staff - representing a variety of disciplines such as neurosciences, physiology, reproductive biology, virology, osteological biology, immunology and genetics - typically hold joint appointments in academic departments, clinical hospitals as well as at the primate center.
